Brilliant, Stuart, but isn't amazing how it never rains 9 or snows) in London. Next time we are down we will make a point of sitting on this bench.
I would submit this for a Turner Prize!
I found your site via the URL being written on a wall near the bench. I haven't taken much notice of the bench, but I've been tracking stencil action on the wall of the Camden Housing Office for some time, as described here, in an article which mentions and links to your site:
Dear photographer, you are being far too modest. This moving work of yours is much more profound than Where's Wally! Please thank your missus for making you share this wonderful project with us,it is indeed worthy of the Turner Prize....also thanks to Rosie Arthur and Micheal Nash for the magic bench :) and of course Fredrick Pearce may he RIP, just like so many do on his wonderful bench. Thank you.
Stu,
I think this is just ass kicking!!!
The more you look at each image, the more you want to see...a little glimpse
into a story and a personality.
Great work.

Hey,
I'm on here twice.
I found a small blue USB wrapped in clingfilm near Fredericks bench. It had this website's URL written on it. Do you want it back?
P.S. cool concept.

Your welcome... in all my time of documenting 'The Bench' your random use of that space wins almighty... For a minute I thought you might have known there was a 'Strange Man' taking photos. Thanks for moment, keep being random. Thanks for the comment. Have you told your friends about my project? would be amazing to get a photo of epic randomness. take care

I show every person that comes into my flat all the bench pictures hanging in my kitchen. They're one of mylar treasured possessions!
Miss you bud! I'll be back over in march, I'll make sure I stop by the bench! X
The building behind the bench was originally the General Post Office’s London North Western District Office. I was there today, trying to track down WWI and II memorials to fallen posties and fellow workers. (no luck). I did spot Frederick’s bench (if you could add the apostrophe ‘s’ your site would be perfect.
But I am not posting this to be critical: I think your project is incredible, unique, and worth much wider recognition.
Knowing nothing about your blog, I took a couple of pics on my trusty Kodak – intrigued to know what the story was behind Frederick’s bench. In particular, on the (north) end of the bench was a collection of Yale type door keys. Five or six I would guess. Too many to have just slipped out of someone’s pocket ……….
Keep up the good work. I will let you know if I turn-up anything on Frederick Pearce and his family.
Thanks for your comment.... My missus told me ages ago about the lack of the apostrophe on the site. I'v just gone and corrected that. That sentence must have wrecked your head. Iv got loads more to post, I just have to find the time. Again, Thanks for the comment and I'd love to heard about your findings. I thought about trying to contact family but my observations of the type of people that frequent the bench might upset them.
Hi Stu. What a fantastic Site. We were the four on the bench on Saturday evening. We waved and you ran across the road and handed us the usb. When will the photo be up on the site?
Hey there thanks for the comment. Your picture is at the bottom of my the home page of this site.
I dont usually get caught but I had a wee dram and threw cation to the wind.
Take Care
